1. finnigan randomly chooses handknits that i wear regularly and makes them into a comfy place to take a nap.  tonight it was my scarf and hat, lying on a chair near the back door.
2. i seem to find the brighter side to just about everything even faster than i’ve ever [...]

- looking forward to mashed potatoes.
- glad she only has to travel two blocks, tomorrow.
- going to combat a few of the plethora of calories ingested tomorrow by takin’ a walk with her momma in the morning.
- happy to have a four day weekend.

so i show up at my brother’s, today (after two hours packed full of sister hazel and starbucks peppermint mocha), and i am showered with treats!!
ok, maybe not showered, but two really great ones…  see, i was supposed to show up two weeks ago, but i was sick and a couple of folks in this [...]

most recently (meaning this morning), i finalized this project by sewing on buttons and making loops for some closure:
 
forgive the stupid look on my face, i’m trying to get used to the webcam.  heh.  also, it needs a little blocking on the inside edge ’cause it’s curling under like a mofo, as you can see.  [...]

the anxiety of leaving for a week is still there, but it’s dulled by my supercomprehensive list of everything i need to take with me – am i forgetting anything?  ten points to anyone who can come up with something i need to take that i don’t have on my list…
this is the first time [...]

i am not wallowing. this girl is not one who wallows. i have my moments, but for the most part i’m making serious effort to move forward; find peace and forgiveness; learn to let go…
in the mean time, i’m knitting, as you’d expect.

so yesterday, baby zoey and i hung out for a bit of niece/aunt-bonding.
then my sister arrived and announced that zoey had grown out of all winter hats and i don’t know if you know this, but we were having quite the freeze out in nw ohio, this weekend…
