i am spartacus!

ok, i’m not, but the chevron love mitten kit i got from ferol for my birthday is the spartacus colorway…

this is the best pic i can give of the colors at this time, what with it being all late and dark out, but i’ll try to get better ones in the daylight soon.

my dilemma is that my colors got shifted around, so i can’t decide what order they should go in.  i can’t just close my eyes and pick ’cause the obsessive compulsive in me won’t let any of the blues be next to each other, or the two reds even though one is orangey and one is blue-red.  (i can’t believe i know that such a thing exists – it’s amazing what you learn as you dive into something like knitting that can get so color specific that your reds are even differentiated by their blues and oranges…  nevermind…  heh.)  there are two kits in ravelry stashes that are both in the same order, leading me to believe that’s the order they go in…  (tan, blue-red, grey, light blue, navy, medium blue, brown, orange-red – for the record – 1, 3, 4, 5, 2, 7, 6, 8 as far as mine are layed out)  which defeats my argument for not putting the blues next to each other.

what say you?  keep in mind i want opinions, but i might likely just do whatever feels right when i cast them on.

the FoP are doing a knitalong, if anyone else always wanted to try them and needed the comeraderie.

there is also much Christmas knitting planning and casting on and spinning action…  there won’t be much blogging about that, though, since there are eyes and ears from my giftee list that wander through here.
