sweet potato pie sock adventure

well, in the last couple days we went from this:

sppsock

to this:

sppsock

and now we’re on our way back, again:

hey, at least i know it’s going to fit, this time…  ;)

and in neice news, she’s even more a doll, every time i see her – i am absolutely up for a neice knit-along, sophia and christina!!  let me know what and when!  will we all knit the same thing, or different things at the same time?  i’m thinking zoey (formerly known as baby ray ray) needs a mini size of the jughead head from domiknitrix made up in some orange and yellow like the sunshine?!?

i mean, she works this hospital cap like nobody’s business, but a knitted cap of any kind would top it.  ;)

love and starting over,

sarah lou

Ha! That hospital hat is very creative! Go nurses! ;) I think the jughead in sunshine colors would be super cute! Sweet potato socks look great! Keep on keepin’ on!

She is so cute! I just love the colors of that sock!

Is it just me or does that baby hat look like a mini bandana tied in front ? You know, like the ones they have all the bad acting latino males wear to look tough and gang related. I think we need to knit her up a hat that’s a little less like that and a little more stylish. -=giggle=-

Sorry you had to frog dear but, it’s better to have frogged and created the right thing than to have never frogged at all. Err.. -=giggle=- or something like that.

I’m working on a sweater from Baby Knits for Beginners (Debbie Bliss), but I am up for absolutely anything. We can design things too…

how about baby sacks? Let’s all knit sacks for babies!

I already have a pair OtN! Yes, it will make me get that pair out of the UFO pile! They’re cute little cables ones…

what the heck are baby sacks??

  7. Sophia Says:

I think a baby sack has head and arm holes, but the body is like a sleeping bag–no exposed footsies.

My niece is too big for a baby sack, now. I was thinking of designing her a little sundress using what I have left of the terrible Pound o’ Love. Maybe there’s a specific pattern that we could all do, like a hat?

The socks are looking great! It does feel nice knowing that something will fit, doesn’t it? And a sunshine Jughead hat would be fabulous. Zoey would totally work that.

    Looking great! BEAUTIFUL BABY!

  9. EB Says:

A baby sack is a sack to carry a baby in… I was just being difficult… my uh friend told me to write it.

My niecey poo lives up in Wyoming so anything we do MUST be warm!

I /love/ the color of those socks, Sarah. I just placed an order with Loopy Ewe myself today and I blame you! Just kidding. Your niece is beautiful. My niece lives in Florida so there isn’t much I can make her knitting-wise that would be particularly useful (though that doesn’t stop me from trying!) Have a great day!
