weird and wacky world

ok, so karen and liz and emmms all tagged me for the seven weird things about me meme. i’m gonna throw an extra wrench in there and tell you only one or two at a time… here’s the first:

i almost always clean my plate. and i don’t mean ‘clean my plate’ like most people mean they ‘clean’ their ‘plate’… i mean, use my finger to smear off every tiny bit of flavor i can get… if i’m gonna eat something, i’m going to eat it.

and if i get something on my hands while eating? they go to my mouth before i touch the napkin. if i just use the napkin – - think of all that tasty sauce, or drizzle, or morsel i might miss!!

here’s an example – - my brunch plate from sunday, taken with eric’s phone…

there was once a three-egg white omelet stuffed with onions, mushrooms and spinach on that plate, with four pieces of wheat toast, on that plate.

and yes, you observant readers, that is my rusted root peeking out on the bottom of the picture. ;)

ok, what else do i have to share – - oh! so my secret pal 10 gifting is over and i have revealed myself to michelle, the girl i’ve been spoiling for a few months… :) go say hi! she does some awesome knitting for a girl who’s knitted for just over a year!! i don’t know who is spoiling me, yet, so i’m still patiently waiting to send you there. ;)

also, i finished my dad’s socks on time. i, however, did forget to take a pic of them in their completed state!! ahhhh, but fear not, my dear readers, my dad is savvy enough to oblige my request for a photo and he sent me a few as soon as he could. here’s one, now… look! they fit!

i’m done with the leg on the second victorian lace sock for the six sox knitalong, here’s a pic of the first on my new sock blocker from the loopy ewe (and a couple other things i accidentally checked out with ;) ):

i’m loving the project bag so much! it’s sturdy enough to stand up to pointy dpns and holds the pattern and the yarn and the already finished sock just marvelously… go get one

um, some knitpicks sale stuff arrived last week… i bought some sale stuff at an lys that was clearing out some older stuff for some new… i visited with some new friends at SnB, last night, and we marveled about the wonderfulness of the internet’s affect on the knitting world… i’m sure i have more to tell you, but it’s just not coming to me – - i tried to blog this morning, but the internet connection was being cranky and i couldn’t get in here…

so that will have to be it for now. i’m sure you all are afraid of what else will be weird about me now that you know about my slovenly eating habits… i swear i have manners, it’s not like i lick the plate or anything… ;)

oooh, and go visit cider moon (jacki and i are conspiring on a super secret project) and karida (whose yarn i bought at knitters connection and appeared in my yarn p0rn post, but i very rudely didn’t link her then).

My whole family (including my grandmother) has a penchant for licking plates and bowls. Never in a restaurant, although I do lick my fingers before using the napkin.
